“Come away with Me.

it’s gonna be wild,

it’s gonna be great,

it’s gonna be full of Me.”

// I’m doing the World Race!! //

What is the World Race?

The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries!

My specific route leaves in October 2020 and goes to:

Costa Rica – Panama – Ecuador – Peru – Chile

Japan – Taiwan – Vietnam – Cambodia – Malaysia – Indonesia

As my mom says, “Lions, tigers, and bears, Oh my!!”

So many countries, so many cultures, so many places to walk, so many beautiful children of God to find His face and His character in and to love like He does. I am on a journey to walk in step with my Lover and find His embrace in the dirt, in the marketplaces, in the homes, in the palaces, in the mountains, on the streets of nations He created for His glory.

 Why now??

I have been day-dreaming of doing international missions since I was in elementary school, and it hasn’t quieted within my soul ever since. I have dreamed of holding children, meeting the needs of the needy, seeing people come together, seeing people healed of disease and injury, seeing people healed mentally and emotionally, and inviting multitudes to the dinner table of Jesus,

the invitation that His blood paid for.

Once I found out about the World Race itself about 7 years ago, I was sold. I believe God placed this dream inside of me, to see the nations come to Him through this specific journey.

Fast forward to this year, 2020. I am in Redding, California at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, the opposite side of the country from my home in Winston Salem, North Carolina. I have been radically transformed by the Love of Jesus this year and have become totally sold out to see His Kingdom come on the earth, here and now. I had a dream while I was sleeping in November that I did the World Race after BSSM and I remember thinking, “that’s weird!”.

Do you have those moments where the Lord is speaking, but it seems so random or silly that you don’t even remember it? Me too.

The love of Jesus has become so palpable, so tangible to me in the past few months, it’s indescribable. He has become even more precious to me. On February 15th, 2020 I got an iced mocha and sat down at a coffee shop, not expecting that I would read an email from a dear friend on the World Race Gap Year and get so touched by Holy Spirit that I would end up on my floor at home for an hour as I gave every desire and thing I love to Jesus, and he would call me to “come away” with Him, to find more of Him in people far away that He created who desperately need His love.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:5

I had already decided that God was calling me back to North Carolina after 1st year ended, and not to do 2nd year at BSSM, but I felt like there was more. Then, on February 20th, 2020 out of nowhere, I started thinking of the World Race again and I knew this was the deep, beautiful voice of Holy Spirit beckoning me! I was so overwhelmed with emotion at the thought of doing the World Race, a dream I held so dear. I heard the Lord say, “you’re leaving in October” and there was only one route for October at the time, so I applied, got in a week later, and now I’m here!

This journey has already felt wild, I paid my deposit and committed to the World Race a day before our whole school found out that all the mission trips were canceled this year because of the effects of this infamous virus! The Lord has continually guided my steps. The timing feels so perfect and right, that I got this deep, gorgeous year at Bethel to heal and be loved and prepare so much. And now I’m being “sent” to nations to pour out the love he has poured into me.

I cannot wait to build family with my squad-mates and teammates (I am already getting to know them over the phone and they are incredible!!)

I get to take this powerful, untamable love of Jesus to 11 nations with amazing people!!! I cannot wait to see what He will do! Thank you for joining my journey. I will be posting on this blog periodically before, during, and after my World Race trip, so subscribe to get an email notification for new posts, and to follow along with my fundraising as well. If you are already feeling a tug to partner with me financially, you can do so on this page! I will be reaching out more about fundraising specifically, but please pray for me in this, and let me know what you think of all of this and if you have any questions!!! I love feedback and connection.

I hope you were encouraged by hearing my heart and about this journey, and I pray that the Lord would stir in your heart a longing to know Him more, and that He would increase His voice in your life and awaken dreams long forgotten inside you, as he has for me. In Jesus’ name!//

“All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. For kingship belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.”

Psalm 22:27-28 ESV

 Much love and joy,

Lucy.
