Hi there! My name is Kayla Smith! I am from Centennial, Colorado and am in my second year at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I am majoring in business entrepreneurship with a minor in Christian studies.

I am a very social person, so all of my passions and hobbies involve spending time with other people. I love adventuring, hiking, singing and playing ukulele. Above all, I just enjoy being with the people I love and doing life with them whether that be going out to eat, exploring somewhere new, going to concerts, or just being deep in conversation. I am very passionate about serving in local ministries and am a student leader at my college for a children’s ministry in inner city phoenix. I absolutely love working with children being able to show love to all different kinds of underserved people groups and build relationships with them through teaching, crafts, conversations, and sharing meals together.

The people who know me the best would characterize me as a compassionate extrovert. I have been known to have a child-like sense of wonder and faith, yet respectful and professional. I am a very hard worker, always striving to be the best I can be. I strongly feel that my faith and community I surround myself with has an impact on who I am as a person. My Christian faith has taught me to love on everyone all the time and lean into the Lord when going through trials. This has shaped my positive outlook on life, as well as my child-like sense of wonder, knowing that the Lord is in control of all and His majesty is truly unfathomable. The Lord also teaches the value of hard work, and this is something I hold very closely to.

So that is a little bit more about me! I am so beyond exited to embark on this journey and hope that you can walk beside me through prayer!

Thank you for all your support!!
