I know its been a while since I’ve posted an update about the race but due to corona some stuff started changing. Now that most of the changes are done and the dust has settled though I can share the changes. As I stated in the post titled Corona Time, Adventures In Missions had a contingency plan in case borders weren’t open by September. AIM has decided to follow the contingency plan due to problems such as food shortages and some countries are still being affected by the virus. I will still be leaving in September but instead of leaving the country I’ll be leaving to go to Gainesville, GA where AIM’s headquarter is. I’ll stay there until January, In January I’ll launch to go to our first country. While I am in Gainesville I will be being trained in discipleship, leadership, and missionary work in the morning, in the afternoons we will either be going out into the public to spread God’s word and love or we might have team time to grow closer to our groups. We will sometimes have the weekends for personal time. Since Atlanta is only like an hour away from Gainesville if anyone is ever down there and wants to meet up on the weekend we can lol. Even though I am staying in the states for 4 out of the 9 months my original goal of $15,800 has not changed and I am blessed to say that I am over half way there in only just 4 short months. Thank you to everyone that has donated and helped support me so far. If you have any questions about the contingency plan you can message me at jstan2020 on insta, messenger on FB, leave the question in the comments, or in person since that’s aloud now lol.
