Wassup everyone~
If you’re reading this you’re prolly trying to get to know me a little better so here’s a little bit about me. My name is Erin Lipps, I am 22yrs old and just graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications and a Minor in Visualization. I love spending my free time either doing something creative such as painting, special effects makeup, graphics design, etc., or mind-challenging from puzzles to computer coding. Even though I love spending time doing these things I feel most fulfilled when I am learning more or talking about my faith in Jesus Christ. This is what led to my decision to go on the World Race right after college.
I know what you’re thinking, this is the craziest time I could decide to spread the gospel to other countries so let me give you a little timeline of this decision. Back in October 2018, I applied through the World Race Semester trips to go spend 1 month in Guatemala, after discussion with my parents and close friends I decided it was not the right time to go. From then until November 2019 I had the World Race on my mind than in the midst of studying for fall finals I had the weirdest and strongest draw to the World Race 11n11 (11 countries in 11 months) so I applied. During this time I was also looking at potential jobs post-grad and praying and asking the Lord for guidance in what I should do post-grad.
Upon being accepted to the World Race and I began to see God show up in so many ways I couldn’t begin to imagine (there was a lot but reach out to me if you want to know about them). All of these moments and more pointed towards going on the World Race. Even though we are in the midst of a global pandemic and we are filled with so much uncertainty, I trust that God will use us how He wants and when He wants, because His timing has never failed before.
I have had my faith tested in many different ways but have learned that our God is bigger than any struggle, fear, or mistake I could make. He has blessed me with an amazing community that redirects me to Him so I’m excited to have one of my closest college friends (and twin from my sorority) Sierra Laures go on this journey with me and I am also excited for all the friendships I will make.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit more about me! If you want to know more about my heart behind this trip or partner with me financially, please don’t hesitate to text or email me at [email protected]!
