01/21-Travel Day
Good morning everybody!!
I say that because I am sitting here at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport at 8am est having my morning coffee and reflecting. My flight landed at 5:15am so I have had a lot of time to process the fact that I am indeed not in California any more and won’t be back for 3 months. Once my coffee hits and the sun is risen I think my brain will start to wake up and be able to comprehend what is happening and where I am.
In other news!!! WE’RE GOING TO COSTA RICAAA!!! While this is a really big change from Nicaragua, that only happened a few days before we left, I know God has really big plans for us there!! We will be serving at Oceans Edge Ministry in Jaco!! I’m really excited to get there and get to work!
01/22: 1st day of training camp
After our first half day of training camp I’m really excited to get back to it. I got some well needed rest last night and I’m ready to take on the new day. We leave for Costa Rica on Tuesday the 26th so as we get ready for that I’m really focusing on praying and getting into the right mindset for this trip. It’s really awesome to see in the midst of chaos and disunity God can still pull together his people to go tell the world about him. We got registered, had dinner, had a long worship session, and finally got some sleep!

01/23: Training camp
We’re going to Jaco, Costa Rica !!! We’ll be working with Oceans Edge ministry, It’s a beach town that even has a surf camp!! I’m so excited!! Today we learned a lot about forgiveness and lemme tell you God is so good at finding amazing people to communicate his word. We also spent another hour tonight in worship, which is really nice. Also all of our meals have been Costa Rican, so goood! Ready for some more sleep!!
01/24: Training camp
Today we spent a lot of time in teachings learning about the Holy Spirit which just has been really amazing. Just being able to devote your whole day to learning about Jesus is something I’ve never been able to experience and it’s just a surreal thing. Being around people of like minds is soo amazing and people who are just great encouragers puts you in just a state of peace. We went on a nature hike! Later we had an amaaazing time in teaching learning about how to hear the Holy Spirit. We did so many activations that really forced us to listen and meditate. Tomorrow is our last full day before Jaco!!

01/25: Last day of training camp!
Took a shower this morning! We talked a lot about what “the cost of discipleship is.” It’s a topic that’s really important but isn’t always talked about. We also spent most of the afternoon learning how to blog and the best ways to communicate what we’re doing in the field! So get ready for some great content.
We leave for Costa Rica tomorrow!! In case you missed it, it’s a beach town called Jaco! We’ll be working with a ministry called Ocean’s Edge. I’ll be posting an update every week so keep an eye out!
