Hey everyone :))) I hope you guys are safe and healthy during this difficult time. This is currently hour I don’t even know writing for my blog, I wrote a Who Am I Really blog post but decided that I am not ready to post it and then I wrote about my inspirations but then I realized one of the first things people ask me when I tell them I am going on the world race (and they know what it is haha) is why do you want to do World Race? Most teenagers are itching to get out of the house and go off to college where they can live the “best years of their life” but I have never been one for “normal”… see my ministry leader named Robert (go check out his ministry online!! there is one for teens and adults and they are awesome.. I will leave the link down below :))!!!) did a lesson that really stuck with me. Robert talked about how we see ourselves versus how Christ sees us. I am walking in a world full of darkness and sin but in Ephesians 4:1 God tells us to walk worthy of him, walk as a child of Light (Eph 5:8) WE are God’s ambassadors… Everyone is called to share God’s word not only through teaching but our actions and how we live our life. In Ephesians 5:3-7 we are told that people should not see us as sinful nor should we be partakers with them. People often come back at this and say “but doesn’t God say to love one another?” and my answer to that is yes he does which is why we share God’s word with each other and if they don’t want to choose God then we must love them from afar and pray… because if I learned anything this past year it is no matter how hard you fight it, the people you have around you influence you. Adding on to sharing God’s word I hear people say they were “chosen” by God to share his word but God chose each one of us to share his word. So share with your friends, family or even strangers, you never know how people are going to take it but you are giving them the opportunity to follow God. So to answer the question of why I chose to leave my family and friends for nine months and go on an unknown adventure called World Race is simple. Nothing makes me feel more fulfilled and happy than when I am sharing God’s word and I know I don’t have to travel across the world to do this but it is an opportunity of spiritual growth for myself, nine months where I can focus on God and helping others learn about him. I can connect with people from all over the world and change lives and hecks they will change mine. I am beyond excited for this adventure… so on the note there are many ways you can help me prepare for this trip 🙂 donations are always helpful but I know some may not be able to donate because of everything going on right now so I ask for prayers as I go on this crazy journey and lastly support, knowing I have my family and friends supporting me through this means everything to me.
