Everything I Know About God
The Unapologetic Truth Series
This blog is about everything I know about God that I could write in 45 minutes. I can for sure tell you that 45 minutes is way too short to tell you about the eternity of God. I added this blog into the Unapologetic Truth series because these are some of the truths that I have experienced and know in my heart and mind about God and his character. This is me owning my faith.
The exercise we did honestly seemed daunting at first, but was the best thing that I could’ve done that day. The days before, I was feeling the weight of unworthiness. I was believing a lie that I was not worthy to be anyone and the enemy had a hold on me. I looked back on my life and realized that a majority of my decisions were made in the chains of unworthiness whether that be to prove to myself or others that I was good enough. With that context in mind here is a transcribed list of the truths I wrote down

This list only scrapes of who God is and his character. I wanted to share what happened after I wrote this list because this is true freedom. Like I said in the beginning, I was being dragged down by the lie of unworthiness. It’s a lie because God calls us worthy but I wasn’t feeling it. That morning I prayed that I feel insanely loved and man does the Lord provide
First it was an off day and some of us went thrift shopping to find clothes for our final banquet because I don’t really want to wear the same t-shirt I where a couple times a week to a nice dinner and I found the sickest shirt for 1 dollar.
Second, I was stilling feeling a little down around dinner time and my friend came over to me and told me that God asked his to tell me all the reasons why I was loved and valued by the squad. That is a prayer request answered
!!!!!But God doesn’t stop there because here is the true power of the Lord. After we finished writing down our list, the Holy Spirit came upon me. In those few moments the Lord opened my eyes up to a lot that I would love to share not over a blog, but one thing he did do is break the lie of unworthiness. In a split second, I knew I wasn’t unworthy because I truly believed that the Lord calls me worthy. It was another miracle of a God that loves us so much. I was so full of the love of the Lord that I couldn’t contain myself. It was a moment where the Lord’s presence was upon me and broke the state of sadness and unworthiness I was in. Man, God does all these things for us and still calls us worthy! When we get to stand in the presence of the Lord, radical transformation happens! That is literally going from death to life!
The day did not end there though. If you know anything about me, you know that my favorite drink in the entire world in Dr. Pepper. Sadly, it is no where outside of the United States. But God is a God of miracles and right after I shared with my friends about the crazy experience I had with the Lord, my squad leader Jewel came over to me with a can of Dr. Pepper that she happened to find at some market. I cannot explain the Love of the Lord but that is pretty close!!
I have tasted and seen so many things in this world, but none will compare to my relationship and journey I have with God. I encourage you to own your own faith because all I can do is point you to a direction that saves!
