On the race, you have the opportunity every 1-2 weeks to go out and experience what the country has to offer. This blog goes out to my favorite adventure day yet— Lake Quilotoa.
It’ll be more of a photo blog than anything else. That means more pictures and less reading… yuck :/

“Quilotoa is a water-filled crater lake and the most western volcano in the Ecuadorian Andes. The 2-mile wide caldera was formed by the collapse of this dacite volcano following a catastrophic VEI-6 eruption about 600 years Ago”— Wikipedia lol. This is the view from the top of the crater <3

This is my team at the top of the crater. #teamecclesiainecuador. Love this group of girls with everything in me.

Same photo of the last, but this time with masks on. We stay safe during covid!!

Josh Pohl, Esther Marques, and Josh Bachtel as we were walking down to the bottom. They’re great friends and I love them a lot I guess.

When we made it to the bottom, we paid 3 bucks to canoe around the lil lakey lake. @princeton we are ready for our full ride rowing scholarships.

Bachtel being CrAzYyYy. I just had to include this one.

After we canoed we ate lunch on the dock and everyone started hiking back up. Esther and I? Well… we rode donkey-horse-mule looking things. It was quite the experience.

This is a picture of me riding one of the horses up from the lake. Don’t be fooled— Esther and I nearly cried riding on them. We paid for animal cruelty and we had never felt more guilty for anything in our lives. Please don’t make us feel worse in the comments.

Esther and I together on the horses. Y’all I mean it— don’t ride the horses when you go to Lake Quilotoa. By the end of the ride Esther and I were giving these poor, overworked animals pep talks telling them they could do it as we were petting their mains. #westillhaveregrets

Katie Lederer, Josh Pohl, and I— an amazing view with the lake behind us. Get it? We are the amazing view lol

A real-life photo of me writing this blog. I hope you enjoyed it. If you did, please like this video, subscribe, drop a comment in the comments, share this with friends, family, cousins, and pets. Love you and miss you all
