*Screams* Ok lets do this!
Sorry i have like zero chill! Its just that writing this means that this is actually happening. I am getting to live out my dream! because for as long as i can remember i was that weird kid ( in many ways!) that wanted to build and run a orphanage when she grew up. And you may think that that’s a load of crap, but i am seriously not kidding you! And now through the World Race i get to live out my dream of service in a extreme way!
But before i get into this let me introduce my self!
Hey my name is Sarah! But i grew up in a christian family with five siblings. So really you could yell out any biblical name and i would answer.
I am seventeen but i will be eighteen before i leave. So don’t freak out! Trust me my mom is doing enough of that all by herself!
I am from Hattiesburg Mississippi. Yes very deep south! But at least i will be well prepared for the heat and humidity! i hope!
I am a protagonist or a ENFJ on the Myers Brigs test. Which i don’t know much about. So do with that what you will.
If i was a color i would probably be yellow, and if i was a flower i would probably be a sunflower!
I freaken love the Lord!
My biggest passion in the world is kids ministry! I love being able to share Gods love with His children, and being a part of showing them that no matter what they have a true Father in christ! This is a huge deal for me. Growing up i had a abusive father and always felt like i was broken and missing something because i didn’t have a earthly father and the love that should come with that. But then i found my heavenly Father and was consumed by His love. And ever since that moment i knew that i had to do everything possible and impossible to show others. The beautiful perfection of Gods love! And yes having a abusive dad was hard growing up. But God has aloud me to use it to help people that are going through similar situations. And though i would never wish what i went through on my greatest enemy. When i look back at it all i see is love! Because what devil wished for evil God used for good! And in that i can take away joy alone! My life verse is found in james and it says “In all thing pain, struggle, adversity count it all joy because it is from the Lord!” what i went through gives me a supper power to help people and that is a pretty joyful thing! And joy is something that is pretty helpful in my line of work.
I am a nanny and, a preschool teacher. My kids are the loves of my life! though some time it can be pretty crazy! If you don’t believe that we are born into sin volunteer at your local preschool. You will get a rude awakening real quick! But i love it and God teaches me something new every day through those kids. Somethings it lessons i never thought i would have to learn. Like the fact that you really do have to explain to a six year old boy that pooping in the back yard is not the smartest decision! But i also get to see so much of God in them. Its hard not to admire Gods handy work every time you feel the breath of a new born baby as it sleeps in your arms or, the sound of the giggle of a little girl when she think something is just too funny to keep it in or, even the tears after a scraped knee that just needs a hug to make it all better!
Other then children’s ministry i also love to read anything and everything. Its sad to say that its quit normal for me to be found hiding with a book. But don’t get me wrong i am extremely extroverted, but there is a part of me that longs for a rainy day, a cup of tea and, my favorite book. But community is where i blossom! I love to be in fellow ship with others. and i can’t wait to be apart of this new community in World Race. And getting to be the hands and feet of God! But that doesn’t come without struggle and spiritual warfare. So please be in prayer for me in all of this. I definitely need it! Please pray specifically for the doubts that are trying to work there way into my heart as well as for my fundraising! God is going to raise over fifteen thousand dollars. So please pray for open heart in my fundraising pursuits in His name!
I really hope that you will follow along in my World Race journey and, see what God does through me through this whole process!!
with all the love in my heart Sarah!
