Hello everyone,
I have some very exciting, but not expected, news concerning my World Race missions trip this year. I will still be going, but some things have changed. Due to COVID-19, instead of going straight overseas in September, I will be staying in Gainesville, Georgia and participating in additional training and ministry for 3.5 months. Then, I will be going off to other countries first thing in January. They are going to try to keep it the same countries as before Costa Rica, Guatemala, Thailand, and Swaziland. If not those, they will be similar. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the change. I wanted to go straight into the world and start serving Christ, but I guess God has another plan for me. I am excited to be able to receive some additional training, be better disciplined, get closer to the group of amazing people I will be spending life with for nine months, and see what missions in Georgia will be like. This was a huge surprise to me, but God knew all this was going to happen. He had everything planned and knows what my future holds. God had this plan for me. I am so excited to see what He brings to me.
I will still need to raise $15,800, right now I am just under $7,000. I need to raise $10,000 by October but it would be amazing if I could get to that before I head to Gainesvill in September. Thank you all so much for your continued prayer and support. Please consider donating and continue to pray for me and the rest of my team as we prepare to set off and start serving God. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Subscribe to my blog for more updates and to stay informed about what I am doing while away.
God Bless,
Megan Hodges
