As I stand here patiently waiting for the mission trip, I’m confronted with the question of why? Why have I decided to take such a big leap of faith? As I’ve begun college, I’ve begun to question my own purpose. What was I put here to do? I love teaching, I love children, I love Jesus. Pondering my inspirations my hands guided me to the World Race website and without even hesitating I clicked – I’m interested! Almost without knowing what I’ve done, I got an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction that I’ve never felt before. Without even being in South America yet, I feel the presence of the children’s hearts next to mine. This trip was meant for me to go on. Every moment where fear creeps in the Lord comes to me and tells me to calm my worries and that this is my purpose. To serve. To serve him! I’m going on this journey not only for myself but for the countless lives that will be introduced to God’s glory!

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” -Proverbs 19:21
