Hello Family and Friends!
I trust you are doing well! I am writing to let you know about a few new and exciting opportunities that are happening in my life right now. I am a senior at Cincinnati Christian School (CCS). Over the past few months, I have been setting into motion my plans for after I graduate. I plan to go to Taylor University in the fall with a degree focused in Pre-Law (Politics and Law). Over the summer, however, I plan to take a mission’s trip. The opportunity came to my attention through a close friend of mine. As soon as I heard about it, God put it on my heart to go, encouraging me to provide laughter and love to orphans and vulnerable children. I will be spending a month this summer (late May to late June), pursing what the Lord has set in store for me and I am beyond excited!
I will serve as a missionary through Adventures in Missions (ADV) in their one-month Semester program. I applied towards the end of December and have been accepted to the Ghana, Africa trip! While in southern Ghana, I will be with a team of other women of God. My team will partner with City of Refuge and will work with children who have been orphaned, abandoned, and trafficked. In addition, I will be working with single women who are vulnerable to trafficking their children and helping with farm sustainability projects.
I am so incredibly in awe of this amazing opportunity that God has set before me and I fully believe that He will provide for my needs. My prayer is that He does so through you. I humbly ask if you would partner prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. To go on this trip, I must raise $4,550. This cost will cover my travel, lodging expenses, and insurance while I am out on the field. I have several financial deadlines in February, March, April and May. The first is February 28th in which I need to have raised $1,137.50. It is important that I be completely sponsored before I leave. I have already started fundraising. If 42 people donate $100, I will be fully funded!
