Hello to all of my friends, family, and to those of you that don’t know me very well,
My name is Cole, and I am about to embark on a life changing experience for not only me but also those that I come in contact with. I will be going on The World Race starting in October of this year! The World Race is an 11 month long missions and ministry based organization. I will be spending one month in 11 different countries including; Colombia, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Lebanon, Bosnia, Albania, Cyprus, Turkey. However, this amazing experience will not be possible without people like you to help fund me. I am needing to raise $18,000 within the next months to come. Yes, I know, that sounds like an incredible amount of money, and it is, but I believe that God has placed people in my life and will continue to bring people into my life to propel me into these countries where I am able to spread His Word and His love onto everyone I encounter.
I want to talk a little about how I came to this commitment of going on The World Race. At the end of November, I graduated from a young mens discipleship program called Narrow Gate. There, I spent 8 months with a bunch of guys with a common goal- to grow closer to God and discover what it is that he wants to do through our lives. This discovery lead me to The World Race, where God wants me to go on an adventure outside of my comfort zone, help others, and show His love through me. That process has already begun. In December, I started a six month internship for Narrow Gate where I am helping others to discover God on a more intimate level and learning to be selfless by doing things for others and not for myself. These past months have been very challenging but also very rewarding, and I cannot wait to continue this journey and bring you along with me! Whether or not you make the decision to donate, you can follow me while I’m on The World Race. I will be posting to a blog (link below) where I will keep you updated with what is happening in those countries. I hopefully will be able to post weekly but most definitely bi- weekly (depending on internet accessibility).
