We recently left training camp to go to the nearby town of Lawrenceville, GA which is heavily affected by poverty and human trafficking. I wasn’t sure what to expect when heading into the neighborhood we were stationed at. When I arrived, they sent me down a street with flyers to door-knock and talk with people. My group of three (me and two sqaudmates) were sent to make sure that everybody on our street heard about the party. It wasn’t something that I was used to to be certain, but it was valuable to talk with people in their natural lives. After that, those who decided to visit more came down to the host’s house for a block party. It was a very restful and God-filled afternoon spent talking to the people of the community and playing games as well. I am leaving for my next mission opportunity early tomorrow morning (the 24th) in Lake Charles for hurricane relief. I’ll be in Lake Charles for two weeks. I’d like to thank my supporters for making this happen. I am 76% funded and one month ahead of schedule! I only have a little over $3,000 until I am fully funded! God is showing Himself faithful in a very real way.
P.S.
