Hey guys!
Sorry for the lack of posts as of recent. I have been really busy trying to figure out a lot of different things, little things really. It all came down to me trying to do it all myself and not trusting in the One who told me “I got this.” Haha I get it now. God is good!
Today I feel like the Holy Spirit really wants to be known. A lot of people really don’t know how important the Holy Spirit really is. Most like to think that it is; Father, Son, and Holy Bible. It is not. The Holy Spirit is so vitally important to our growth in relationship with the Father. Jesus said:
“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.”
John 16:7
When Jesus left, He left us so that the Spirit could live amongst us and through us. The same Spirit of God that flowed through Him. The same exact one. Jesus was not omnipresent, meaning He could not be in more than one place at once. Because just as He was full God, He was also full man. It was better for Him to leave us with the Holy Spirit because He is omnipresent. He can be in you and me and your neighbor too. Yet the Church doesn’t go into depth on what we have. We were given such a great gift.
The same spirit that descended on Christ like a dove and gave Him the power to perform the miracles He did, now lives in you and me who have accepted Christ, we got the package deal. Without the Holy Spirit we can do nothing. So what do we do? Well, quit disregarding the Spirit. Confide in Him who wants so desperately to help you and be with you. Be baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire. (Luke 3:16, Acts 1:4–5,Acts 2:1–4) Recieve the Spirit, He is a free gift. Be the hands and feet of Jesus;
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
Mathew 10:8
Jesus came as an example for us to live by. We are to be a reflection to the world of who He was. A lot of people will argue that those miraculous things are not for today. But they most definitely are.
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
John 14:12
None of this is possible without the Holy Spirit. There is so much more for us to do. If we just listened and worried less about what we feel and walked in faith, so much more would get done for the kingdom. If we just dove into Him, and cared less about what someone may say and more about what He says, we all would be better off. The world would be better off. What may seem radical to others today was not radical to people back then. We have strayed so far from truth, many are scared of things that are brought up in Matthew 10:8 but, why? Because it makes us uncomfortable? Rebuke that haha. Our comfort isn’t as important as the many lives that are at stake because we are more concerned about what he or she may say or think.
I could go on and on, but that is what has been on my heart. The spiritual war is very real and is all around us. We have the victory but there are so many people who won’t get to celebrate with us, many we walk by every day. We have a responsibility to put ourselves to the side and take on the Holy Spirit and go reap in the harvest, for there is plenty. Yet the workers are few, why? (Luke 10:2) Cause like I said before we are more concerned about ourselves.
