How did I get here? It’s a crazy question to answer because God is so absolutely amazing. Like how on earth did a girl that loves being in her comfort zone start to desire to be uncomfortable! The lord first showed me gap year while I was in Swaziland. Multiple people on my team told me about there experiences and I believe that is when God first planted this crazy adventure in my heart. A couple days go by and I was sitting on the bus with my team and the world race was brought to my mind again. I started imagining myself on the race surrounded by my teammates laughing and playing with these beautiful children . I was so filled with joy while thinking about this, I began to start crying on that bus in Swaziland. It finally occurred to me that this is what the lord wants me to do and he made his desire my desire. I got on the plane home from Swaziland and applied for world race gap year!! Ever since that moment I have been getting more and more excited for when I get to join my new team and spread the love of Jesus! This doesn’t mean I don’t have fears, I’m honestly terrified! There are so many unknowns when it comes to gap year but I put my trust in the one that knows my heart , Jesus!!
