I’m 27 years old, I was born and raised in Potsdam NY and I live in Rochester NY. I’ve work at local colleges as their receptionist, done waitressing and cashiering all my life. Mostly, “I just work for Vizzini to pay the bills”(The Princess Bride) if you know what I mean. But now I crave something bigger and that matters just a little bit more than merely ‘paying the bills.’
I’ve known Jesus most of my life. He’s taught me one thing over and over, and it’s that He is faithful. He is faithful in everything; in love, in generosity, in compassion, in power, etc. He is overwhelmingly faithful to me in every piece of my life. What can I do but give everything I am to Him? I want to be in ministry, and I love to travel. And Ministry + Travel = Missions. So it’s only natural that the World Race would come up on my radar and pique my interest eventually.
This next year on World Race: America is going to change my life. I don’t hope it will; I know it will. The Lord has been drawing me deeper into His love and trusting Him in every aspect of my life. He’s been calling on me to obey in the big things and the small things, and to just watch what He does with that small step of obedience and leap of faith. He’s been awakening more and more of the desire in me to do big things for Him, to live radically in a world that advises against the reckless. He’s started a fire in my heart to see a revival in this nation and a move of His Spirit that my generation has been waiting for and desperately needs. And I am so excited to be a part of it!
