oh hey there?? It’s been a bit since we’ve talked last… guess where i am? If you guessed Wisconsin, you guessed right lol. I’ve been here for 28 days now! Wow time flies?? I’ve already experienced so much. my squad is amazing and my leaders are the best. Shout out: Rachel, Jacqueline, Zach, Isaac, Lexi, and Allison:) you guys are my family??.. so I was asked a couple days ago to describe my life right now in one word.. I chose ’growth’. I feel like I’ve grown so much in the past 28 days and am constantly being pushed to grow more every single second i’m here. I’ve discovered things about myself while I’ve been here that I didn’t know before.. like: i’m good at making friends by myself, also that I love quiet time with just me and the Lord, and that i’m a leader? Shocking to me too, also that i hear the Lord the loudest when it’s quiet.. and my favorite thing I’ve discovered is that including the Lord in your life doesn’t have to be only in big things.. including Him in everything you do is able to be done pretty easily.. you just have to make a habit of it. He’s your friend.. like actually your friend.. the best friend you could ever have. And your friends want to be apart of your life throughout the day and not just in the big things. You can ask Him what type of food you should get.. or where you should go today? or what you should say to this person.. it’s not always so much pressure and it’s not just the big things He wants to be apart of.. that’s amazing to me!!!! He’s wonderful:) wow thanks God! Anyways update: I’m doing so good here.. I love it! I’ve made some amazing friends here in Bunker Run (where my team is staying) Bunker is a place where the people that work at Kalahari live (the resort my team works at part time) all the people that work at Kalahari are from different countries from all over.. so my new friends from there are of all ethnicities. One of my best friends is from Peru.. His name is Yair! He was a famous dancer in Peru and he loved to surf.. he’s so sweet! And then I have a friend named Kevin, he is from Ecuador.. he has two cool earrings and likes music (he knows a couple songs in French) and his fav. Movie is Ratatouille. .. I also have a friend named Litha from South Africa.. he’s got sick dreads and is always smiling! I have so many more friends i’ve made.. too many to list! So when we aren’t working at Kalahari, we are either working at beyond blessed food pantry in Baraboo or are at discipleship training at Bella Goose coffee roastery learning some cool stuff about discipleship:) and then when we have a day off, we go adventuring or have a sabbath rest day! But the other day on our adventure day, we went to a place called ‘devil’s lake’ we like to call it ’God’s lake’ lol but it was beautiful, we hiked up so so far and just sat on the lookout rocks for a while. it was the prettiest lake I’ve ever seen.. it’s wonderful here. God is blessing us in this first month for sure?? thanks God. So yeah that’s what I’ve been up to! life is so good in the Dells!
