Hey, I wanted to share a quick little story about what God did for me this month.
Going back to the beginning of March I was reminded about my 50% fundraising deadline at the end of the month. I started to get into my head and tell myself I wouldn’t be able to make the deadline, the trip would be cancelled(coronavirus) and because fundraising wasn’t going as I had planned I wasn’t supposed to be on this trip. Updates from the organization started to come out about the virus and actions included bringing everyone home. However, their faith in God remained and fear would not overtake them.
After making myself believe these lies I took a step back and was reminded why I chose to sign up. Instead of continuing to look at the negative I started praying that God would show me the positive and if I really am meant for a mission then He would provide. I believe God’s timing is perfect and decided to trust Him fully to provide. About a week later, I was at my families business and my grandma told me the company was going to give $100. I was so thankful for the donation even though I had $450 left to go. For the next week I continued to pray.
I decided a few days ago the money needed to be provided and I would pull it out of my own account. When I opened up the fundraising summary I had a donation come up for $500, tears instantly started running down my face. In that moment God showed me He is still in control and it was a huge reminder I’m in the right direction with missions.
God provided more than what I needed when I didn’t think it could be done at all.
