Hi sweet friends. I’m Paighton and if we haven’t met it sure is a pleasure to meet you!
First off I just want to say no matter how you got to this page, thank you. Thank you for supporting me and for taking the time to read a little bit about me and what has been recently happening in my life.
God has been working and transforming my life and has used me to do things I never could have imagined, especially this past summer. I got to return to Costa Rica for a 10-day mission trip and I had the amazing opportunity to walk the grounds of the Holy Land for 10-days. To be honest, before this past summer it felt like the whole world was against me. Nothing seemed to be going my way, I was doubting everything, I wasn’t content and I felt so distant from God. Coming back from both of those trips it finally started to feel like my life was becoming more meaningful.
So how did I end up applying for the World Race you ask, well that is a good question. Thinking back to all the mission trips I have been on it has been clear to me that I have always want to see what God could do in more than a week, in more than 10 days and even in more than just a month. So yes, The World Race, an 11 country, 11 month mission trip, which right now feels like the scariest thing I could ever image myself doing. But when I think about the trip ahead, giving God my undivided attention for 11 months gets me so excited to see what He will do in and through my life.
Gods timing is always perfect and He couldn’t have opened this door at a better time. I am so very thankful.
