I want to say welcome!
Welcome to my official Blog, its been a long time coming, but it’s finally here! As some of you know I am heading to South Africa soon and I just wanted to give y’all a glimpse at where my head is at…
I have always wanted to visit Africa. The last few years I really felt called there but the timing never seemed quite right. After High School, I decided to take some time and do mission work. I have been so blessed to have been apart of trips to Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and the Ukraine. Each place has been a life changing experience, and the more I go, the more I want to keep going. Im so hungry for His path that He is leading me down. Whatever those plans may be, going back to school, missions, business or anything else He has for me. I truly feel that my calling in is in missions. As I continue to pray, it has become so clear that this was my next step in life. South Africa, and you know how I know? Because I have been so conflicted and under attack about this trip, I feel as though the enemy knows that this is a big step in putting my trust in God, quitting my job, not going to school just to spend months in another country, it sounds crazy, but I know this is where I need to go.
This will be new for me because it is not only somewhere I have never been before, but it will be three to four months and I will be accompanied by a team of young people. The past trips I have been on have varied in time and teams, but this will be longer and with the same consistent team. I had a chance to met one of the girls on my team, Grace she is from Dallas and since I’m in Austin, I drove up and we got to get to know each other before living together. I am so happy that we got to met! She’s wonderful. I am also in communication with some of my other teammates, who I can’t wait to meet.
I am terrified, but excited!
Some of you have received my support letters, and I want to say thank you so much for your support. It truly means so much to me. As always prayers are always requested, and if there are any questions or prayer requests please reach out!!
