Hello everyone. So I was feeling a need to update any of those who were still interested in my current mission trip plans and how it is being affected by the corona virus epidemic. Adventures in Missions has been keeping us all updated on their current plans and decisions regarding the best interest of the racers and the plans of God; as of this week they remain hopeful that trips past May will still be able to launch as scheduled. While this situation is constantly evolving, they have informed us that if a cancellation is required funds can be distributed to a different trip at a later time. So what I am saying is that yes I am still fundraising and preparing for this missions trip. I am sure of the call Jesus has put on my heart to minister and serve in Africa and whether that is this summer as planned, or has to be pushed back to a latter date, He will send me!
I would like to say that I am fundraising as usually and my faith has been unwavering throughout this whole ordeal, however that is not completely so. I have had my doubts and fear however the Lord is constantly reminding me that actively trusting Him is the only feat I have to accomplish, and He will take care of the rest. He has brought my attention to Proverbs 3:25&26. Any confidence that I can find during this time is solely from Jesus and for that I am so thankful, because I know that it can not be taken away.
As for fundraising, that also has changed drastically. I am unable to hold fundraising events and am now challenged to think of creative new ideas that take a certain amount of boldness that does not come naturally for me (and in a very short amount of time). I am extremely close to my goal, and as of today I have around $900 left. If anyone has time to pray for me in terms of confidence and creativity for this fundraising I would greatly appreciate it. I value support in all different forms and in advance want to say thank you.
