So we made it to Costa Rica! It is so much more different than I would have thought. It took us about 45 minuets to get from the airport to the World Race base that we are staying at, and the traffic here is nuts. If I was driving, I would be toast for sure like no question. But if I did live here I would definitely get a bike though for sure, all the people on bikes just fly down the middle of the traffic no problem. The base we are staying at so much nicer than I thought it would be, and I am so thankful that I are only sharing it with 30 people instead of 50. The building in a little smaller than my house but a lot more open space. In the guy’s room we have 5 bunk beds, and since there are only five of us, we get all the extra space to lay out all of our stuff. We have a super nice costa Rican man named Alfredo who is our driver everywhere we need to go. He only speaks Spanish but it’s the goal to get to know him a little more before I leave Costa Rica. I have never spent more than like 2 weeks without being at home in my own bed, so this is going to be so much more different than what I am used to. Never the less I am still extremely excited to experience this whole new way of living. It is also a new thing to live in the same place as a bunch of women that are not related to me. Women are very loud, like most of the time, especially from like 6pm on. I think that getting up early is going to be the key to peace and quiet for quite time with God. The guys room for the most part is pretty quiet so that’s good to. Another thing that I am looking forward to is knowing and seeing who everyone is now vs the people that everyone have become by the end of the race. Most of all, I am excited to see who I have become by the end of the race, and I am so very thankful to God for this wild opportunity to get to grow in this way.
