I have spent the past 3 weeks on Ometepe Island in Nicaragua. Now I’m in the mountains of Palacaguina, Nicaragua. Yeah…ahh!! The Lord is so so good. Last year, God put the words “Mission Trip” on my heart. One year later, here I am serving my heart out in places I didn’t even know existed.

Throughout the past 3 weeks, God has showed me the power of prayer, the joy of opening up my heart to the love and wonders of His creation (as well as the people living on it), and helped me through fears (like scorpions, spiders, and other creepy crawlies).

Last Sunday, I said goodbye to a bunch of the cutest and kindest kids I think I’ve ever met as I left Ometepe Island. During my time on Ometepe, I served at CICRIN for these wonderful niños. CICRIN used to be an orphanage, but it was turned into a school to benefit the wonderful kids on the island. I feel so blessed that God let them be a part of my life, and me be a part of their lives. I would love to introduce you to:
?
?
This cute chica named Irena. She did my hair every day we saw each other, haha.

?
?

The precious Julia?? She has the cutest smile and laugh in the world. She spent every moment she could in someone’s arms, trying to learn our names, or hanging upside down.

?
The beautiful Deborah. She is a magnificent dancer and loved to dress up…when she wasn’t pretending to die or by a zombie!

Then you have brilliant Tiffany. She is sassy and strong and loves to smile.

?
The kind hearted Ingrid. She gives the best hugs.

?
?
The friendly Melissa. She said “Hola Amiga!” to everyone so she wouldn’t have to learn our names, haha!

?
Magnificent Margarita. She loved getting to know us as much as we loved getting to know her. Even though there was a language barrier, she made us feel cared for as we both stumbled through the other’s language.

And more playful kiddos!!

I can’t wait to see what God does in these next three weeks in Palacaguina, Nicaragua!
