Hello everyone! I hope you are doing/feeling well and washing your hands!

Time is a funny thing. It is about the only thing that human beings can’t control. If we are not able to do something our reason is usually “I don’t have enough time” or we often complain of having too many things to do and not enough time to do it. Now, almost the world is on house arrest with nothing but time. For many, including me, getting quarantined was fun… until it wasn’t. At first I thought “wow a whole six weeks off school! I’m going to hang out with friends and go camping, who knows I might even go stay with my cousins!” Then my mom said “no.” and I cried.   I am an extreme extrovert who thrives off human interaction so social distancing is going to be really hard for me. But if you are like me, you probably have a constant list in the back of your mind of things that you need to do when you have the time to do them.

I took the time to think and pray about the pro’s of being quarantined and here is what I came up with. This gives me a chance to spend more time with the Lord, because although that is an everyday priority, I am ashamed to say that it gets pushed to the side more often than it should. I have time to read more, because although I am told to every week, I often do not (sorry Mrs. Thompson). And even though I am not able to see my friends in person, I have time to invest in them and let them know that I am thinking of them. My point is, this is a hard time, and getting bored is an extremely real thing, but that does not mean that we need to dwell on the negative, we have been presented with time, time to accomplish tasks, pick up hobbies, and most importantly spend time with Jesus. It is an uncertain, scary time for everyone but we must not let in consume our lives. Lean on Our Father, he will provide.

As always, thank your for supporting me!
