HEYYYYYYOOOOOO
Trash pick up ministry is a banger.

We pack our sandwiches in our fanny packs, fill up our water bottles and get in our magical, vintage, white school bus and drive to the beach. The beaches are not that dirty. The trash bins around the beach are full and the ground is pretty clear of basura (trash). So why do we do beach clean up? Because we love the ocean and want to keep the turtles alive? No. So we can walk among the locals and talk to them about life and hopefully introduce the name of Jesus.
One day during beach clean up, the Lord blessed us abundantly.
Me and 2 of my squad mates were not feeling super pumped for the day. So we stopped to pray. We prayed for at least one good conversation that day and maybe somewhere in the shade to rest for lunch. After we prayed, immediately the Lord blessed us with not 1 but 3 amazing conversations. One after another!
One man was working at a coffee stand and thanked us for cleaning the beach. Then he GAVE us free coffee! We got to talk about Jesus with him and pray for him:) Another great conversation happened a short ways down the beach, a man said “great job thank you!” and then he GAVE us free, cold coconuts! WOW! AND! We got to talk to him about his life! AND THEN! A sweet lady working at her fruit stand GAVE us free oranges!!! AND! We got to talk about her dreams for the future and pray with her!
WHAT A DAY OF MINISTRY?!
Sometimes it is hard to be motivated for trash pick up ministry days. Somedays theres no trash. Somedays we don’t have many conversations. Somedays It can feel like a waste of a day honestly. But the Lord really put meaning back into beach clean up with those sweet life giving conversations. Every LITTLE and big conversations matter.

“Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-1
Even when you feel like your prayer request is too small or not important, ask. Because every LITTLE thing matters.
God is always listening to our prayers. We just have to talk to him. And after, we can rejoice in whatever response we get.
Thanks God:)

LOVE YOU ALL!
