Hello everyone! Most all of you have heard about the amazing adventure I will set out on in September of this year! I am so excited and have so much to share with you!! I am going with an organization called Adventures in Missions. This organization conducts different types of trips for all age of people who want to work in the mission field around the world. The trip I chose was for ages 18-20, and is called a Gap Year, which means I will be taking off from college during the trip. Right now, there are about 35 others signed up for this trip! We will all be travelling together for 9 months and preaching God’s word to men, women and children in San Jose, Costa Rica/ Manipur, India and Draganesti Olt, Romania.
In Costa Rica we will be staying with one of Adventures in Missions bases and staying with a permanent missionary family. During the first 3 months we are there, we will be helping with community outreach, sports ministry, the kids ministry and doing some manual labor. The next amazing 3 months will be spent in India, where we will be partnering with The Bibles of the World. We will be helping distribute bibles in their language, planting churches in different cities, also networking and encouraging Indian churches and National Christian leaders for greater effectiveness. The last country, but definitely not least is Romania! Here we will be distributing bibles and evangelising in the community.
From a young age God has laid on my heart the desire to travel the world and share His Word to hard to reach areas of the earth. My first trip to India, last february, really started a fire in my soul to be a missionary. I can not wait for what God has planned for those spectacular 9 months. Please be Praying for me, my fellow travellers and the 3 countries, because prayer is the most important thing we need on our journey! Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12)
