In one of my previous blogs, I told you all about the ministry I’m working with called The Hope Project. The people at THP are passionate about empowering us to step out and use our God-given gifts and abilities to serve wherever we can. They know that the body of the church has many different parts. Some of us are talented athletes, others of us are skilled artists, and so on. But no part is more or less important. Each can be used to share the love of Christ and to serve others!
My fellow storytelling intern and teammate, Emma Austin, and I decided to collab and show you all the different ways our squad has been able to use our unique giftings for the Lord’s purpose!
For example, I (obviously) love to write, and I love art. These are skills and passions the Lord gave me. During ministry, I had the opportunity to write children’s stories for THP’s English Club so the students can practice their English! I’ve also been given the opportunity to paint and decorate a shelf for Waves of Grace (you’ll hear more about that project from Brooklyn!). Emma loves to organize, so she spent an entire ministry day organizing English lessons and activities so the teacher, Rachel, wouldn’t have to! Emma is also passionate about worship and will be able to use her gifts on worship nights at the community center.
So without further ado, The Body In Motion!!
