In today’s world, taking a leap of faith is almost frowned upon. Society tells us to play things safe, and to pursue what we have laid out for us. Scripture points us in the exact opposite direction. It says we are called to live with faith, to trust that He will provide for us when we aren’t sure of the future, and to love radically for Him! This has been running through my mind constantly these past few months, especially with not knowing where, in just a year from now, I would be spending the next nine months of my life.

But that’s where that radical kind of faith comes in. Not knowing where I would go challenged me to fully trust. To know that God had it planned out for me. And as grateful as I am for that growth, I now know my route!! In the fall of 2020, I’ll be packing up and flying across the globe to Guatemala, Ecuador, and Nepal. In just a year from now, I’ll be spending nine months in these countries that are so foreign to me right now! These places will become home to me! WILD.

There are five different routes for Gap Year 2020, so it was a tough decision to make. Ultimately though, doing work for the Kingdom doesn’t depend on the physical location. Mission work is mission work, and you can’t really go wrong with choosing one country over another, which is soooo reassuring. Guatemala was laid on my heart, and on this route I will get a chance to do mission work through education, children’s ministry, and simply loving those in the communities I’m placed in. And if you know me at all, that kind of ministry has my heart. So Guatemala, Ecuador, and Nepal it is! More updates coming VERY soon, as well as t-shirts to be sold!! Thanks for reading:)
