After my team prayed for me this is what happened:
- Carried to a car then rushed to the hospital
- Carried to a wheel chair and rushed to a room
- Got asked a million questions, but I couldn’t respond
- The nurses drew my blood, and tried two different times to get an IV in my thumb
- My ministry host tucked my hair behind my ear. It reminded me of my mom, so I shedded a few tears
- I finally snapped out of it, but still stayed overnight
- My blood test was normal
- I got a CT scan, but it came back fine
- Went back to the squad to figure out what to do next
- Had another episode
- During it the Lord comforted me. He told me everything was going to be okay, and that whatever is happening is an easy fix
- So I tried to just relax during it, and listen to him
- Of course I got rushed to the hospital again
- I received another blood test, and an EKG
- Everything came back fine
- So we decided to go somewhere else to seek further care
- A neurologist looked at my scans, then suggested to run another blood test, EKG, and a EEG
- Everything came back normal
- Headed back to the squad, but had another episode on the way back
- Eventually snapped out of it
- Got out of the car, then celebrated Christmas Eve with the squad (I mean why not)
- Christmas day I woke up with bad news. I had to leave to go to New Delhi to seek better care
- So we packed up, and left an hour later to catch our flight
- We spent all Christmas in the airport
- After a long day of traveling I noticed it was the first day I hadn’t had an episode
- I praised the Lord, then he promised me I wouldn’t have one on my birthday either
- The next day we went to a few different hospitals
- I had another episode in front of the neurologist
- He told me I had Aura Migraines, and that mine are REALLY complex
- He gave me two medications, and told me everything should be fine in 8 weeks when it kicks in
- He made me take another EKG, and EEG to double check
- We went back, then called my family for Christmas
- Eventually got the results back, and everything was fine
- Called my family again to tell them the good news
- The next day I went to the Taj Mahal. I was not expecting it at all (Yay God)
- I didn’t have an episode till later that night (Praise God)
- After it was over I went to sleep
- Next day I traveled back to the squad
It has been a rough month, but the Lord has been so evident through it all. Choosing to trust him has been a game changer for me, because giving him my heavy loads is hard for me. Learning my Father sustains me by this has been such a sweet lesson, and it has provided so much healing. Although I had around 30 episodes, I can honestly say the Lord is using this tragedy for his glory. As I type this now, this season of my life is almost over. The medication has kicked in, and it has now been 7 weeks since taking it! The Lord promised healing, and he has given that to me! Thank you supporters for keeping me in your prayers, and thank you for following my journey.
