Welcome to Costa Rica!
H Squad arrived in Costa Rica 5 days ago, and my team, along with 5 other teams, are serving in Jaco. It has been incredible so far! This country and city are steadily capturing my heart.
Heres a few things that have happened so far….
- I killed what felt like a gazillion cockroaches
- I caught a big toad
- Then got peed on by said toad
- Our team prayed and contended for healing of one of our teammates and God showed up big time
- We went to the same local smoothie shop several days in a row……. they recognize me now
- I went in the ocean for the 2nd time in my life
- We get to hear and learn from an amazing man of God in the mornings – I am already being challenged in the best way
- God showed me that I still fall into the orphan spirit sometimes & also reminded me of who he says I am
- All 5 teams have worshipped together several times… it somehow gets sweeter every time
- We watched the sunset on the beach – God’s creativity & majesty never ceases to leave me in awe
Life truly has been so pure this past week, and I can’t wait for the rest of the 38-ish days we have left here!
