Hey friends! Welcome to my About Me page!

Here is where you’ll find out a little about me; maybe some new things if you know me already, or get to know me for the first time if we haven’t spent time together.

My name is Laina, I am currently 23 years old, and I’m hungry to see individual people’s lives deeply touched by Papa in ways that are as beautiful, special, and unique as the people themselves. My best friends would say that I am authentic, expressive, compassionate, loyal, funny, passionate, dependable, generous, and devoted. I am an ENFP, an enneagram type 7, and my love languages are #1 quality time, and #2 physical touch.

I grew up in church my whole life, but never had a personal, tangible experience with Papa until I was in high school. About a month and a half after I graduated, I packed up and moved across Washington state to attend Destiny International School Of Ministry. My goal was to spend a year with Jesus, and then move back to my hometown and do all the things young adults are supposed to do. You know what I’m talking about; go to college, get a job, get married, buy a house, have some babies. Well praise God that he knows better than I do! I ended up completing all 3 years at Destiny International, staying on the west side of Washington, and going on multiple missions trips. Ministry school unlocked so much in me, and brought me to places of healing and freedom that I didn’t know were possible.

I am the middle child in my family, and growing up I was the only girl. I have 3 brothers; 2 older and 1 younger, 2 sister in-laws, and 4 nephews and a niece who are my most favorite little humans. Family, and friends who are like family, are incredibly important to me and I adore deep, meaningful connections with people. I love nature, animals, reading, fireworks (which is also a side job of mine), card/board games, and quality time.

The World Race is an absolute dream come true for me. It is going to be amazing, challenging, and if I only get to be an example of Jesus to 1 person the entire 11 months, it’ll be more than worth it. I cannot wait to get to know my squad, my team, and see all of what God has planned for us. Thanks for joining me on this journey!

With love,

Laina
