I remember the first time we pulled up to the one in DeKalb it was massive, or the biggest one I have ever seen.
When you make your way through the parking lot pass all the other shoppers coming and going and when you pass through the doors it is an explosion of culture.
I think we underestimate, or we just overlook or …. To be honest some of us just do not care about how much history and influence from other cultures are in the foods we eat.
I miss this I miss the fresh baked pita and flatbreads, French loft, baguette, the coffee stand and fresh pastries, flowers the endless selection of cheeses and one of my favorites…… OLIVES! They have so many different types sour, spicy, sweet, and mild. But to me the sour ones are the best which are the green ones but if I am going for sweet then most definitely you will find me looking the black olives. I mean yummy in my tummy. Eating olives for me I am getting extremely happy I will eat them on a cheese pizza, pasta, locs and bagels or even by them self, Sorry I lost myself in a tangent of love. I don’t know the next time I will be able to safely visit this magical place but I am grateful for it I am grateful of every meal our family has gathered around every laugh, every smile and great flavor we’ve shared at our table.
This magical place and I will soon meet again.
