For the past few days I have been in Atlanta at launch! It has been such a crazy cool experience. We went over safety, feedback/conflict resolution and had more ministry training! I have also had a lot of squad/team time to get to know my community a little bit better!

On Saturday I had to say my hardest see ya later to my family. It was hard. I balled my eyes out because I did not want them to leave but I was reminded that I am sacrificing something so small compared the sacrifice that God made for us!

Some things that stuck out while at launch and that God taught me were:

1. The release of fear of the unknown. There is so much fear in the unknown of what could happen back home in a year. But one night during a worship session I just sat in prayer and God completely released me of that fear!! Those burdens of family relationships and health, etc were completely gone and I knew God had them and was carrying them for me.

2. I was also reminded about God’s singular purpose, “To unite all things in heaven and earth under Christ, to the praise of His glorious grace.” And to think for a whole year I get to be a small tool used for this purpose!!!

“You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
