Sometimes I ask myself, How did I get to where I am at now?  It is all kind of unique how certain things can all come together.  I grew up in a strong Catholic family and was homeschooled k-12.  Four brothers and one sister was one of the greatest blessings in my life growing up. Living in the country allowed me to do the things I liked, such as building tree houses, working on engines, hunting, sports, and enjoying the great outdoors.  Spending time outside was probably the biggest way I bonded with my brothers.  During my high school years is when I started to be more active in the world outside of my personal life.  I got involved with the church more by going to retreats, leading and putting on youth events, and living life with a strong group of friends.  After graduation I went to Bismarck State College for my automotive collision and automotive technology degree, while also working at an autobody shop repairing vehicles.

During one of my summer breaks in college, I had a desire to serve the Lord in a deeper way.  Uniquely, he brought me to certain people that eventually lead my to a mission trip down in El Salvador.  Two and a half weeks that totally changed my view to serve and to love others.  The very first day that we arrived, I noticed how little they had and how happy they still were.  It really brought me to my senses to see how blessed I had been in life.  Interacting with them just made me what to do more, stay longer, or serve in another way.  Once I come back to America, I told myself that I was going to go on mission again somewhere, the desire to do so never changed.  Here I am now, going on mission in January of 2020.
