This was our first full week of ministry, and also the first week of school for the children. Our tasks were similar to the week before; I continued helping at the garden and plantain farms, and we would spend time with the children after school. My highlight was definitely getting to know more about my team through their testimonies and also our day to day interactions. Only about two weeks in, and we all experienced laughs and struggles together already. God has continued teaching me about finding strength and joy in Christ alone through my devotions in Psalms, and the encouragement my team gives me is very uplifting. Our host also gave us two afternoons to rest and reenergize in the Lord. One night we went into town after dinner, and had opportunities to play soccer at the park with locals and evangelize. It was an awesome experience just putting ourselves out there, learning more about their culture and pouring out Christ’s love. Our leaders gave us a brief lesson on the importance of Sabbath, and how taking care of our own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health is as important as serving.

We will be staying in Cicrin for one more week, and afterwards we will split into two teams and serve in another area in Nicaragua. Please continuing praying that we can make the most out of this last week together as one big team, and we can continue glorifying God and carrying out the Gospel to everyone we meet!
