Hey friends and family! Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. This is pretty out of my comfort zone, but I think it will be the best way to keep everyone updated throughout my time in Southeast Asia.

A little bit about my life right now: I am graduating at the end of December from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota with a double major in Kinesiology Pre-Therapy and Biblical and Theological Studies. Despite growing up a “farm girl,” I have really enjoyed my time in the Twin Cities, and have made some incredible friends here. Earlier this fall I was accepted into the Physical Therapy program at the University of North Dakota, which will begin in August. It will be hard to leave the friends I’ve grown so close with the past 3.5 years, but I am so excited to be back “home” and spend more time with my family and friends in North Dakota!

I really wanted to stay in the cities this spring, get an “adult” job, and spend time with friends. However, I couldn’t help but think of other ways to use my time between graduating and starting grad school. For the past couple of years, I have been given some incredible opportunities to grow in my faith and learn more about who God is. However, I’ve noticed that something is missing. I have consistently been surrounded by those who share my beliefs. This has been great, and I am so thankful for that presence – but I have been noticing the desire to share God’s love with those who have never experienced Him before. That’s when I stumbled across the World Race. I quickly realized that it would be the perfect fit.

At the end of January, I will be heading overseas to spend three months in Cambodia and Thailand! The populations of Cambodia and Thailand are over 95% Buddhist. A lot of these people have never heard about God or Christianity. While there, our team will help with local kids ministries, teach English, and teach Bible classes, among other various things. I am so excited about this opportunity to share the Gospel with the people of Southeast Asia and would be so grateful if you would support me in prayer during this time; I know that this trip will stretch me beyond my comfort zone and prepare me for the future work the Lord has for me.
