Many of you may be wondering… Why did I choose to go on the World Race? Choose to postpone comfort, college, or even my future career?
To be truthful, I was initially excited by this program because of exactly that! I have no idea what my future career will be, and the thought of going straight into college was terrifying.
I soon learned that the World Race Gap Year will be so much more than a way to put off college, and that it is in fact exactly what I need during this season of life.
Upon discovering this program, I spent tons of time praying to God, asking if this was what He intended for me. The thought of seeing God in ways I had never seen Him before, while also spreading the gospel across the world sounded incredible, but I was still not sure that it was what God has destined. As I continued with each step of the application process, the Lord gave me an unimaginable sense of peace. No matter what worldly struggles I came across, I felt secure in the hands of the Father. His provision during this time has given me the confidence to walk firmly in faith, and has opened my eyes to the amazing power of Jesus!
So, there you have it! I am so excited to experience the Lord further on this journey, and am so grateful that you have come along for the ride!
