God’s grace.
What does God’s grace mean to you? I had no idea what it meant to me until recently, when I was shown grace and I did not deserve it.
I was originally going to write a blog about how I am exactly where I am meant to be and explain all the ways God has revealed that to me this past month. I even had the title planned out and everything. Then God decided to literally wreck me in the best way possible.
God’s grace is something we have grown up hearing all around us. With all the decorations, songs, and sermons, it never really resonates with us until we are shown it. When I was shown it, it broke me. I realized I am nothing at the feet of Jesus, yet he CHOOSES to love me. LIKE WHAT?! How can God look at me and everything I have done and be like “Yep, that’s my child I WANT HER!!” There is literally no other love in this universe that compares to this.
I can’t even put into words the overwhelming feeling of love I have for the Father right now. He. Wrecked. Me.
We all need to be reminded of God’s amazing grace from time to time, and sometimes it’s not in the way we would imagine. I had a complete and utter heart change after being shown grace and that is just so cool!! Ugh thanks God!! We should all strive to walk like Jesus, and he gave us more grace than anyone can ever imagine.
The common misconception with Christianity is that it is a religion based off of rules. The thing is-Christianity has nothing to do with rules. It is about living a life motivated by love and GRACE. Grace is what leads us to Christ to begin with, and the minute we lose sight of that, Christianity loses all appeal. It is our job as Christians to communicate God’s love and grace to others. God wrecked me to remind me of what I am doing here.
I decided to keep this blog post short and sweet. It’s just a little insight to what the Father is walking me through right now, and I hope it inspires you to show grace to those around you-even when they do not deserve it. Thanks and Amen. Thanks. And. Amen.
