All things Launch: travel, parent launch & deadlines!
You’ve patiently waited, and now it’s just about here! Can you believe it? We have a few important (and time-sensitive!) pieces of information for you. So, please read this carefully and completely!
1. Book your Travel to Georgia (and – update the “travel” section of your profile!)
Racer Registration: September 2, 2020
Adventures’ Campus: 6000 Wellspring Trail. Gainesville, Georgia 30506.
*If needed, racers are also able to register between 8-9am on September 3, however you are responsible for your own transportation.
ARRANGING TRAVEL TO GAINESVILLE
Once you arrange travel, please update the “Travel” section of your profile. This information must be uploaded by August 1 (however, we’d love it ASAP!).
If you’re flying: Book a flight into Atlanta (ATL) that lands in ATL no later than 2:30pm on September 2, 2020.
We will transport you from the airport to our campus, which is about 60 miles north of ATL. Once you land, you will get your bags and head to the airport atrium. Details to come closer to September!
If you’re driving: Arrive for Racer Registration at our campus between 4pm – 8pm on September 2, 2020.
Please don’t arrive before 4pm – there will be nothing for you to do!!
*Racer Registration will also be open from 8-9am on September 3, 2020, if preferred. However, Adventures’ airport transportation will not be available that morning, so you will be responsible for getting yourself to our campus (60 miles north of Atlanta) between 8-9am.

Parent Launch details (action required by July 3)
Parent Ministry is a department at Adventures that exists to walk with your parents – to help them get a vision for your Race, but also for their own journey. This doesn’t take away from your ownership of your Race – and Parent Ministry is careful to protect this as “your” Race. But we believe there is an appropriate way to walk with parents that reduces their fear, helps them “let go” in good ways, and sets them up for their own spiritual journey during this time – all of which makes your Race easier and better. We’ve seen amazing things happen in parents’ lives as a result of you choosing to do the Race.
We have 2 things for you to do:

Watch this video from Betty Means, the parent liaison. It gives a bit of vision and it talks about Parent Launch.

We believe Parent Launch is an important time for your parents and we will be inviting them unless you ask us not to. I’d encourage you to let us invite your parents unless there is a specific family dynamic that would make that unwise or unhealthy. If you do not want us to invite your parents to Launch, you must submit this form no later than noon (eastern time) on July 3, 2020.
