Hello Everyone!!

You might be wondering what is World Race and why am I doing it? And all of these questions will be answered here, so you’re in the right place.

I have always wanted to take a gap year, but once senior year came around and applying became a reality, I kept putting it off. I had been wrestling with the idea of what I actually want to do with my life. Do I want to be a teacher like I’ve always dreamed of? Or would being a nurse be better? And where do I even want to go to school? My inability to decide any of these things was one factor that caused me to think World Race is for me.

World Race Gap Year is a program for 18-20 year old high school graduates to go on nine month mission trip where participants get to go to three different countries to share the good news.

Once I got to thinking, I realized I would probably never get an a chance to take nine months off to have an experience even comparable to this one. And after coming home from weekend work crew for Young Life I was ready, ready to pursue my calling. This is when I applied and a few days later got accepted. YAY!!

I hate making decisions. But I’m confident that this decision is the right one.

I know people who have been on the race and they absolutely adored it.

I’m beyond excited for the community I get to experience with my squad and those we get to serve. I’m excited how I will grow as a person and in my relationship with the Lord.

I am fearful for missing home, getting sick, for the fundraising process, and much more I haven’t even thought about yet! But God will be with me every step of the way! Please pray for my heart to be prepared for growth and consider supporting me financially if you are able.

Love you all,

Evie
