It sounds crazy to me to think I have only known Lydia for 6 months. It seems like I’ve always know her.

She was on my first team and it feels like we have experienced so much together, and I know we both have grown so much. I think we both grew in fighting for friendship and unity in our first team and now we get to walk in love for each other (and our new team) off the foundation we made in the first team.

Lydia has such a big heart for Gods people. She has empathy and eyes to see people where they are. I love the way she encourages and prayers over others coming from a place of boldness, wisdom, and a heavenly love.

One of my favorite memories with Lydia was on the team fitness hike we did. There was a section where she was on my back and I was carrying her up this steep hill named the Jesus hill on campus. She noticed I was struggling and without even me having to suggest it she asked if I wanted to someone to switch with me. I think it just really shows her ability to help and love the people around her well.

I thank the Lord for the friend she is and the gifts she brings to our team.

thanks for reading,

emma 🙂
