“We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 TPT
Lately, my last team mariposa (meaning butterfly) has been constantly on my heart. The Lord has revealed so much to me through our time as a team and all we walked through hand in hand. There is a season for everything and I believe that God was in the transition of mariposa ending, yet my mind often will think back to that time fondly though it came with many struggles on a personal and team level.
A prayer throughout my life has been that God would transform me until I look like Him, and that He would break my heart for what breaks His. Today He reminded me that (as was displayed through my last team and made the name super fitting) when He is growing us it can seem slow in the season and require so much patience. It may seem cheesy to say, but as a caterpillar is transformed into a butterfly in a cocoon sometimes God transforms us in our faith in a similar way.
My word for the year is beauty and the Lord keeps showing me this image of a beautiful butterfly. The process of change and transformation may at times feel like too much, but as you draw near to Him and begin transformation you begin to look more and more beautiful as you become something new. He is faithful and moving even when our current struggles feel like a load we can’t carry.
Trust His work and timing and remember that He makes beautiful things!
I currently have $2,800 left until I am fully funded and would really appreciate any donations you are lead to give!
