I have been in Gainesville with my squad for 17 days. We have been getting to know each other and God more through our time here and it has been such a blessing. In this blog, I wanted to introduce you to my team. My team is a couple girls on my squad that I get to talk to and bond with every night. Whether we are watching Tarzan, watercoloring, or talking about Jesus I love spending time with them. We chose the team name mariposa because it means butterfly in Spanish and it is beautiful symbolism for how we will grow in our time here. Also, it’s so cool that our team name is in Spanish and we are going to Guatemala in January!
First, this is Lydia. She has the absolute sweetest heart and is a great person to talk to. I really admire her heart for the Lord and how she cares for the people around her.
Next is Emily!! She has such an encouraging, kind personality. You can tell that she really cares for EVERYONE on our squad and I feel so blessed that she’s on my team.
This is Claire! She is super creative and a great writer. I love how she sees the good in people around her and brings an extroverted personality to our team.
Last but not least, this is my team leader Emalani! It is so evident that she cares for everyone on my team so much. She is a great listener and such a sweet person.
