Cindy was our first homeowner we visited to jump start our ministry with Samaritan’s purse.

Cindy’s home was damaged tremendously by the two hurricanes that came through in the span of a few weeks!

During the morning we raked up her yard, cut down branches that fell as repaired a ceiling in her house with water damage and mold!

After lunch I got the privilege to work the pole saw! My team leader Mr. Tim & I worked together to clear some more branches, limbs, and tree stumps.

As we were cleaning up, I noticed one tree stump was heart shaped at the end. I took a few pictures of it to remember that little tree stump.

I didn’t think anything I’m of it when all of a sudden this thought popped in my head! You should cut the stump into a slab of wood that’s heart shaped and gift it to Cindy to reminder her that even through the storm, God was with her, loved her, and was protecting her.

Tim just put up the pole saw and mentioned how the chainsaw required more equipment to put on before you could use it. Because of that I didn’t want to trouble Mr. Tim and have him take everything down and gear up for a slab of wood.

Right before we tossed it in the pile of debris, the Holy Spirit prompted me to say something! So without hesitation I boldly obeyed the Holy Spirit and said “I don’t know if this would be too much work, but would it be possible to cut a slab of wood off the heart shaped stump and gift it to Cindy?”

Without any words, Mr. Tim picked up the huge stump and headed back to the truck to cut it. While he was cutting it, our other team leader Mr. Kieth asked if he was busy, and Mr. Tim said this is a task given to us by the Holy Spirit.

It was such a sweet moment where the presence of the Lord was so evident!!

Miss Cindy was walking by and saw the heart shaped slab of wood in my hands and said “oh my! That’s shaped like a perfect heart!! I love hearts so much and always look to find heart shaped rocks around my yard!”

GOD KNEW CINDY LOVED HEARTS!

When the Holy Spirit prompts your heart to do something, Don’t hesitate! The Lord wants to use you to love others well and share what the He is doing in your life!

My heart is so full, and Cindy was so happy to receive such a unique gift right from her own yard! All I can say is thanks God! And thanks God for gifting us with the Holy Spirit who is with us always and will prompt your heart to do things that may seem like there’s no point, or that it may trouble someone to gear up! The Lord wants to use you in anyway you will let Him!

I encourage y’all to step out in obedience with the Lord today and see how the Lord will use you in any moment to share His love with others!!

WOW! Thanks God!!
