Hi everyone!
I am still in awe that I am actually going on a World Race semesters trip!
The trip will be the entire month of June, and our team will be in the Philippines!
I’m gonna start this post off by giving all of you some facts about this trip.
What will we be doing there?
– We will be working with an organization called Kids International Ministry. Their mission is to help orphans and the poor. Our team will get the opportunity to do anything from orphan care, helping in a birthing clinic, tutor and build relationships with kids, distribute food, help with disaster relief, and help identify people in the hospital.
Why did I choose the Philippians?
I knew God had laid it on my heart to do Missions, and when I heard about World Race and read about their organization, I knew it was one of their trips that I was supposed to go on. So, the next step was applying and choosing my destination. Honestly, it was a little hard to choose at first, because every trip sounded so amazing and I would absolutely love every single one. I choose the Philippians, because when I read about it I just felt God telling me, “That’s the one.” I know He knows what He’s doing, so I am fully putting my trust in Him.
What will I be doing leading up to the trip, and what can you do to help?
The most important thing I will be doing is staying in the Word, and constantly growing in my relationship with God. I am about to start fundraising, which is a little scary for me, but I’m also excited. All prayers for me, the rest of the team, the people in the Philippines, and the trip will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading,
-Cassidy
