Hey everybody! My name is Caroline Sandlin and I’m from the Nashville area in Tennessee. While I’m a Tennessee gal and was actually born in Memphis, I come from a military family so I grew up all over the place. I’ve lived in Memphis Tennessee, Okinawa Japan, Virginia Beach Virginia, Potomac Maryland, Beaufort South Caroline, Nashville Tennessee, and now Chattanooga Tennessee!
I got to school at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and I am majoring in pre-nursing. I chose nursing because I knew I wanted to chose a career that would enable me to travel and serve others in some way, and being that I also find the medical field so interesting, nursing seemed like a perfect fit! I’m learning though that sometimes God wrecks your plans and leads you down an even better path than you could ever plan, so currently I’m in the process of trying to listen more to what God is trying to tell me rather than act out what I think is best.
I have grown up in the church and have always been a Christian, but these past couple years have been very impactful and shown me that being a Christian involves more than just attending church but an intentional relationship. I am so excited to see how this trip transforms me and my relationship with God.
