Hey Family!
Only 254 more days until launch!!! October 25th! I can’t wait, I am so excited. There are a lot of things I need to do in preparation for this 11 month long journey that God is taking me on but I wholeheartedly believe He has me in His hands.
Lately I just have been pulled in like 20 different directions it has kind of gotten hard to stay focused. Right now I am in a transitioning point with my job so that has been stressful trying to work out all the dates of what is going to happen when. I am trying to get a plan together for this year and what this year is going to look like.
Right now my goal is to transition into my new job smoothly and get a steady flow of income through that so I can not only survive but start putting money back to go towards my trip. I am actually going back to work at my previous job at my local christian bookstore. I miss my boss there and just the atmosphere of people wanting to come in to learn more about our God. It was awesome there and I am so excited to go back! Once I get settled into that job I will shift my focus onto summer camp.
The summer camp I volunteer at is called Camp Hickory Hills and it is amazing. (I’m actually going to use this years camp to try out all the gear that I’m going to use for the World Race as kinda like a test drive before the real thing lol.) This year I have been asked to work for 3 different age groups and I am exstatic to see what God has planned for all the kids that come to camp. Another awesome thing is that a couple of the camp directors have asked me to lead worship for a couple of the age groups. God just keeps opening doors for me and my worship leading and I am so thankful because I want to chase after whatever God is laying in front of me. I know that being able to lead these kids in worship will help grow me as a worship leader but I pray that God will speak to them through my singing and playing so that they can see just how Great our God really is!
After camp I’m putting all that I have into preparing for this trip. I have a lot of money that I need to raise so that I will be able to go out into the world and minister so that will be one of my main focuses. I also want to be sure that I’m not leaving my responsibilities that I have at my home church without a capable replacement for me so I will be working on that. I know God will place the right people at the right time and I trust him.
Here we go into this wild year ahead. God has me in His hands and I can’t wait to see the miracles that he will do for His people.
