My name is Brandon Benson. I am 23 years old and I live in Cleveland, TN. I have lived here since I was 2 years old. I love the water. I’m pretty laid back and love to laugh and make people laugh. I try to look on the bright side of things. My favorite type of humor is reference humor. I love pop culture and laughing at meme culture. Some of my passions would be: Music, video games and kids/youth.
I am a member of Keith Street Ministries COGOP and I lead worship for the youth there. I love my home church and I am so thankful that God has pushed me to grow as a person and a leader. I have been saved since I was 6 years old and I received the holy spirit just this last year in January 2019. I have come a long way but I give all the glory to God. He is my savior and I could not be standing here breathing without him.
I’ve gone through a lot of trials over the past few years but I found that God was just waiting for me to get out of my own head and just follow him. I’m so thankful God is a great God and a patient God and that he has waited for me to find him.
In November 2019, I started really trying to listen to God and trying to figure out what he wanted from my life and I just felt Him say “Missions in Asia” kind of out of the blue. I wasn’t even thinking about missions or anything but I could hear the call. I didn’t hear a specific country in Asia just that I should go to Asia to expand his kingdom.
So that’s what I’m doing. I started by going to the Philippines in December and experiencing the culture and seeing the needs that the people have in the Philippines. I would love to go back there and help out more. Hopefully that is something God will allow me to do in the future. Here are some pictures from that trip.
Now I am preparing for the World Race!!! I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in these next couple of years. I will get to travel the world and spread his word across the world and show people just how great our God really is. I am so excited.
