Hey Everyone! You may be wondering how I ended up in North Carolina in the mountains (honestly I’m still kind of wondering how this happened too). Well look no further for answers! I have a few announcements to share with you…

The Hard News:

  • On November 27th, our squad received news that we would not be returning to campus in Gainesville in November or December. There was a Covid outbreak between 3 squads on campus right before we left for Thanksgiving break. In an effort to ensure that everyone is healthy for launch in January, Adventures in Missions decided it would be best not to bring racers back onto campus this semester

The Good News:

  • On January 5th F Squad is launching to Costa Rica!!! We were so excited to find out that we get to go to one of the original countries on our route! We’re not quite sure what our whole time overseas will look like, but we do know that our first international location will be Costa. I’m not sure how long we’ll be there (may be anywhere between 1-5 months) but I am so excited to see what the Lord has for us in this country!

  • I’m in North Carolina! Well, I’m actually in a single cab truck on the way back to Georgia FROM North Carolina. Most of Team Mesa was able to organize to meet up in Atlanta, GA. From Atlanta, we drove north to Asheville, NC to visit our Alumni team leader Sam (she will not be traveling overseas with us). This quick trip with my teammates has been a really cool testimony to the way that life can become ministry when we say “yes!” to God. Expect a blog post on that topic soon!

  • God is sovereign over all of this! It’s true! Whether I spend the next months overseas, domestic, in state, out of state, or even in outer space God’s plans for us are good. One of the biggest things this trip has taught me is “life is ministry, ministry is life”. It’s a common saying at World Race, and it is so true. I’m excited to see the path he has for me be revealed.
